On the occasion of the 2500th anniversary of the great historical event of the Battle of Salamis, which saved Greek Culture and Democracy, the Delphi Economic Forum, the University of Piraeus and the University of Thessaly are organizing an International Conference entitled: “Salamis & Democracy: 2.500 years after” which will be held virtually from Saturday October 3 to Monday October 5, 2020. We are seeking solutions to current worldwide problems that arise from various dysfunctions of Democracy today by tracing knowledge and inspiration from the messages and values that inspired the victors of the Battle of Salamis, the victors of freedom and Democracy. The conference will be addressed by 37 distinguished Speakers from Greece and Abroad.
The event will be under the patronage of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
