The Council for International Relations–Greece, in cooperation with the Modern Greek Studies Association and the Hellenic Program of Sacramento State University, organized the Leadership Academy in Athens (17-18 June 2023) and Thessaloniki (4-5 November 2023).
The program, directed by Dr. Athanasios Grammenos, Executive Director of the Council for International Relations–Greece, aimed at the young generation, and the curriculum was based on the teachings of prominent Greek thinkers, ancient and modern.
The seminar provided a platform for participants to engage in critical discussions and reflections on leadership strategies, approaches, and principles rooted in Greek thought and philosophy. In addition, we aspired to build a sustainable community of citizens with similar concerns and spread through them civil awareness, democratic values, and humanitarian principles.
Overall, the Academy’s intent is to enhance participants’ leadership skills and competencies and help them apply the insights gained to their professional and personal lives.
For the Leadership Academy, we received the 2023 Innovation Grant from the Modern Greek Studies Association.
